Bohemia Mountain Trail #1401 Umpqua Nat. Forest/Cottage Grove Dist.

This short trail travels to the rocky summit of Bohemia Mountain, the tallest point in the Cottage Grove District. The summit has excellent views from Mt. Shasta to Mt. Hood. Bohemia City and the Musick Mine can both be seen below. There is evidence of past mining activity along the trail as well as abundant wildflowers in the spring. The trail grades average 15-20%. Bring your own water.

Access:From Cottage Grove Ranger Station, take Row River Road #2400 (towards Dorena Reservoir) east for 13.6 miles to Sharps Creek Road #2460 and turn right. Continue for 10 ½ miles to the end of the paved section. Stay to the left and continue for 7.3 miles to Bohemia Saddle. Turn right on the spur road leading to Bohemia Saddle County Park. The trailhead is about 300'on the righL The last 5 ½ miles of the road is rough, narrow, and steep in places, so use caution.
